5th Brazilian Conference on Composite Materials
We are pleased to announce the upcoming BCCM 5 – 5th Brazilian Conference on Composite Materials, which will be held from January 18th to 22nd, 2021, in Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The topics of interest are: Aeronautical composite materials and structures; Advanced numerical techniques; Analysis of wood and natural fibre composites; Applications of composites; Auxetic materials and structures; Beam, plate and shell theories and computational models for laminated composites; Composites in innovative applications; Composite structures; Composite structures in civil engineering; Delamination, damage and fracture; Design and application of composite structures; Durability of composite materials; Dynamics of composite materials; Electro-thermal properties of composite materials; Experimental methods; Failure of composites; FRP in concrete, steel and composite steel/concrete structures; FRP in historic masonry structures; Functionally graded materials and structures; Impact problems; Joints; Laminated composites with material uncertainties; Micromechanics; Modelling and characterization of CNT-polymer composites; Modelling, simulation and testing of sandwich and adaptive structures; Morphing of composites; Multiscale analysis of natural fibre composites; Multiscale modeling of graphene- and carbon nanotube-reinforced composites; Nano-composites; Natural fibre composites; Non-destructive inspection techniques for composite materials and structures; Optimization techniques and methods; Porous and cellular materials; Probabilistic modeling and reliability of composites; Smart composites; Stability of nano, micro and macro composite structures; Structural health monitoring in composite structures Thermal problems on composite structures; Variable axial composite laminates.

In addition, the authors will be encouraged to submit their works to Composites Science and Technology (Elsevier).

SCHOOL
The EESC-USP has 2500 undergraduate students and 1200 graduate. It offers 10 undergraduate programs, nine graduate programs and over 100 lines of research.
CAMPUS
Besides the EESC, the Campus São Carlos of USP has four other colleges in the areas of architectur, mathematics and computing, physics and chemistry.
CITY
São Carlos is known as the Capital of Technology. It is a medium-sized city with 240 thousand inhabitants and it is located in the center of São Paulo State.
